twenty oh five
Twenty oh five has been a really eventful year for me. I've grown so much more in this year alone compared to the past 16 years of my life. Of course when I say grow, I don't mean growing in the physical way. Heh(:

Firstly, I got into Anderson Junior College or more preferably known as the School From Hell. I detest AJC so much and yet I continued to stay in AJ after the first three months. Times spent in 37/05 was truly memorable. The Inter House Drama Competition, BBQ at perk's house, countless trips to ECP, playing with Edmond's handphone, "you complete me"s, rocks for Valentine's Day, Green People, neos, photos, 10-28...

3505! The craziest bunch of people EVER. Enough said.

Twenty oh five was also the year of concerts. Or more importantly THE concert. I'm a big fan of Simple Plan and getting to see them live was like a dream come true. I was so high after the concert. Is it even possible that I love SP even more?!
Then there was Mosaic, baybeats and the Magnets(:

Twenty oh five was the year where I started working for the first time in my life, although I wasn't paid. Being attached to the Asian Civilsations Museum taught me many things. Firstly, working SUCKS. Secondly, museums in Singapore are rather sad. Thirdly, being a curator is like so cool, but be prepared to bury yourself with lots and lots of books. Forth, pasting barcodes and scanning them is a fun and addictive thing to do(: Fifth, be equipped with packets of tissue paper to secure your seat during lunch hour;) And also after Journey of Faith, I really want to visit Vatican City one day..

Twenty oh five will be the year remembered for the many cups of coffee and whipped cream [bean's ultimate!], chilling and phototaking at the Esplanade area, many attempts to suntan by the beach [not successful in my case], many reruns of Fight Club, 2 trips to Bangkok with each trip 6 months apart and depression.

Twenty oh five has also been a tough year for my family. My brother's skin took a turn for the worst. My Mom is getting transferred to schools after more than 20 years of working at the same department due to the Ministry's outsourcing. My grandfather is crazy. My grandmother had a heart attack. My aunt had kidney failure. Here's wishing everyone good health in 2006.

The trip to Nan also taught me many things. Although I'm still the same person, -sorry, no magic wand here;)- , times spent in Nan allowed me to comprehend that Life can be really simple and meaningful, only if we want it to be. I really didnt want to leave Ban Nam Ree. Till this day, even after being back for more than 2 weeks, I still hope I was back in Nan. Life there is just so uncomplicated.

And most importantly, I fell in and out of love.

I'm more confident of what I truly want.

Hopes for the New Year? I want to be more decisive and appreciate the little things in life(:

wtf, I took 2 hours to type this super short entry=/

back to reality
woot! I spent the whole day doing nothing. It's been a while since I stayed home the whole day alone [with his royal highness out] I never thought I will say this, but its great just doing nothing, and that includes sleeping the whole afternoon away(: I wanted to spend some time with myself and to clear my mind. Actually, it's still a big mess up there...

I still wish that I was back in Ban Nam Ree. Life here is just too complicated and too messy for me to comprehend. Too many thoughts, too many emotions, information overload. I can't take the heavy traffic. My brain screams 'restart', 'shut down', 'refresh' 'reload' and 'stop' [You mean you're not using firefox?! LOSER];)

Why can't everything be simple? A straight one way road?

I was flipping through my photos and saw this. I remember taking this during the promos period, while studying for history. Eh, I like my name alot ok? I think its Paper 2 because there's colonial Burma in the notes. Lol(:

{ cowface } Yuletide cheers. says:
burma? whats tt

sigh. Back to school in 4 more days. And so the paper chase will begin all over again...

nothing in between
WTF. I'm having this splitting headache. My room seems to be spinning. And i'm contemplating killing somebody. If i hear another Christmas carol, I'm so going to scream and bang my head against the wall [eh, this sounds pretty normal]

Excuse me, I don't know why I sound so frust though, considering the fact that I went shopping today and bought some clothes. Blame it on the bloody headache.

ARGH.
Too bad rosy wasn't around to share the brownie last Friday. It was so damn good! Mmm. Thinking of it makes me feel slightly better. Hey, chcocolate makes you happy!(:

Oh! I'm suddenly craving for subway! Ah! *drools* I seriously don't understand why people rely on antidepressant. Food is like the natural antidepressant, it perks me up anyday!(: Now perks wants to eat Carl's Jr. Ah! Carl's Jr! Meat Patties! :D I wonder if I will dream of meat patties tonight? ;)

I have some history class tmr. And then I wonder why am I attending to see some weirdo dancing around?! Grr.

unexpected prez from an unexpecting person
merry christmas everybody! (:

This christmas was a mix of ups and downs. BUT! The UPs are more important than the downs.

His royal highness got me a Prints diary!(: The one which I really really wanted. I was actually thinking of getting my mom to get it for me. ['cause OCBC credit card got 20% off] But his royal highness got it for me yesterday!(: [The pleasures of being 21-having credit cards] Well anyways, I think it was just really sweet and unexpected of him.

The funny thing was, because it was Christmas, he wanted to wrapped it up for me. So he bought a wrapping paper from Prints, which kinda makes the discount pointless. Lol, and my diary was rather small, so it only used up like one quarter of the wrapping paper(:

But anyways, it's CHRISTMAS(:

Yuletide blues
Grr. I had these two horrible dreams nightmares weird dreams last night. I dreamt that I was kidnapped and shoved into this box that was so freaking small. It was dark, musty and I couldn't move an inch. >_< I'm no claustrophobe but the whole dream was just weird and freaky.
The second dream consist of these two huge worms about 3cm in diameter and about 10cm long. They were blue and green. And to top it of? They were crawling all over my NIV Bible. Funny, I don't even own a NIV Bible, and I'm not afraid of worms. [I ate some during the camp in Nan but those were tiny worms...] Anyways, I was super freaked and spooked out.

Yeah I know. I have the weirdest weirdest dream ever. So much for a good night's rest. Rubbish):

BUT! I'm going yip's house for some Christmas celebration/gift exchange/merry making/eating/movie marathon later. We won't be drinking because yip is there. [Lol, sorry yip;)] No lar, it's just that her parents are around... So, I won't be back until Christmas because I'm staying over at her place. And on Saturday, which is tomorrow I'm going to my Sixth Aunt's house for another Christmas celebration, this time my maternal side. Then after that I think I'll be attending 9pm mass. And then yeah, it should be Christmas by the time I'm back. I usually attend midnight mass, but my parents are getting old and they can't stay awake past midnight. Their words not mine. I think they're just lazy because my dad has no problems staying to the wee hours of the morning watching football. And my mom can do that to if she is watching da chang jin. Lol.

Anyways, its Christmas. Even though I'm rather depressed during this holiday season, but still, Merry Christmas! (:

Btw, I'm looking for a maths tuition. To cut the long story short, people in my house are not happy with my current tuition so I'm switching. Any recommendations? Preferably class and near my place. I live in ulu Yishun btw(:

again, I'm filled with explainable emptiness
Oops, I didnt realise I haven't been updating as often as I used to do. It's just that, since I came back, I've lost interest in many things. It's really ironic that when I was in Nan, I was craving for so much brown, miyagi, rockson, xiaxue, dooce, ohnotheydidnt, postsecret and so on. But now that I'm back, I don't even read them. It's the same with movies. Before I left, I had this mental list of movies I HAD to watch, but all of a sudden, I seriously don't give a hoot about any of them.

I just feel even more withdrawn from "civilisation".

Christmas is in 2 days. And I don't even feel Christmas-y. I'm not talking about the presents. Fuck those. Usually during Christmas, I'll be full of thoughts of the new year, of things I want to accomplish in the upcoming period of time. But now it's as if my mind's on a no man's land. I can feel the action, excitement, fear and anticipation on both sides. But yet, I'm reluctant to make a move, as if waiting for the other side-any side, to take the first step.

And then, I'm becoming even more obsessed with oxymorons-if that's possible. I think I like the irony behind oxymorons. But yeah, I think it's just me. Anyways, if you are at least half as weird as I am, check this site out.

My depression is slowing sinking in, taking its effect. It's like vodka, you only begin to get tipsy after many shots, but then its too late, you're way wasted. But I'm doing better. At least I'm blocking out all the crazy shit happening at home, blocking out all the shit his royal highness is releasing. And then again, maybe that's why I am always so detached. Eh, at least I don't cry as often as I do for the past 3 weeks or so.

People need to move on. And I'm working on that.

This is totally random. But OASIS is coming to Singapore. Well, finally(: The tickets are super ex, but that's expected. I wonder if his royal highness is going to sponsor me with this concert... Nah, pigs don't fly in the sky that often;)

I've finally finish uploading some of the pics up here. There's still more but that is going to have to wait. This entry is not complete, I still have some things to say, but that is also going to have to wait. I'm dead tired editing the photos, though I must say that it was fun(:

You can also find photos at Kang Li's Photo Blog, Oli's on ImageStation , Yong Chuen's and Yiwen's photo log [which she is still building].

I'm going out for some retail threpy. Later(:

familiar ground
hey civilisation, im back(:

I just touched down in the evening. The whole OCIP trip has been a really enriching experience for me. It was really amazing living in Nan. I seriously didn't want to leave that place, but oh well, back to reality again. The kids are a real joy to teach. They are just so earnest and sincere in learning. And the Thai teachers were all so hospitable. I had a blast of a time. It's really ironic that I'm missing Ban Nam Ree when in the first place I was so apprehensive of going there.

I took about 470 pictures. Will take forever to upload them):

I'm really tired and sleepy and zonked out and I'm craving for some MORE CHICKEN! ;)

Btw, why is there Gorby and Voldermort on my blog. Lol, I miss reading all those crazy tags and I miss you guys. I'm glad im back.

I'll upload some pics. Later.
