Linkin Park Live @ Padang
ok, this is crazy. everything was crazy. i think i am crazy too. lp was totally awesome and they brought the house down. still feeling really hyper now, though something happened at home. sigh, im NOT going to think about it.

the day started out with me at home mugging. yeah, BORING. my whole head was full of lp and sp. lol... yip and i met up and we reached the padang at 5 plus. there was already a whole lot of people. so we queued right at that back. i happen to meet daphne (again!! saw her at maa!) and she was queueing in front, so yip an i squeezed through. we waited till about 7 before we were admitted in. was really heng to be quite in front of the 85 bucks section but still pretty far from the stage, but hey, im not complaining.

opening act was PIA from korea. sry, never heard of them. they came on at 8.30. kinda pity them though, everybody was screaming, "linkin park" or "hurry up". lol... u cant blame them though. pia performed SEVEN songs before they left. everybody was really hyped up. but lp onli appeared 30 mins later, at around 9.30pm.

from then on, it was total insane party time. haha. everyone was jumping and waving their hands in the air. i managed to record numb, breaking the habit and parts of crawling. but the quality aint good cause i use my mp3 player. most of the time, u can hear the people screaming rather then chester or mike. haha. my feet ache and my thorat feels horrible, but it was all worth it.

i think the latest trend for guys is to grow long hair and not spikes anymore. look at chester. mike was wearing a cap most of the time, couldnt c much but yip said he kinda has this small bunch of hair poking out from the back of this cap=) joseph looks the same. brad, omg, he was hairy all over! pheonix was the same and the drummer too. (david and seb frm sp have grown their hair long too)

i think my fav parts were the last song, one step closer, since that is my all time fav lp song:) and the breaking the habit, when mike was playing on the keyboard. and numb! and in the end! lol.. and of course, joseph. he was HILARIOUS. twice the camera was filming him and he did this monkey face twice that was shown on the big screen. haha, i love him even more now=D *screams* JOSEPH!!!

my only complain was probably that the big screen in front of us (there were two) was spoilt at the starting of the opening act, pia. and that the concert was TOO SHORT!!! (it ended at 11. jus one hour half) and i guess, those people smoking all around us. the air was horrible. being stepped on, pushed around wasnt that bad i guess. crowd-surfing and moshing were banned but there was still this group of guys moshing. got pushed and stepped realli bad before the security came. lol, those people r insane. but i can feel how they are feeling. everyone was high! haha...

so the concert was great. i had tons of fun with yip. i even saw my pri sch mates, daphne and francine. out of which i saw them at the maa's. but i got into trouble when i got home. my bro n i went to the same concert but didnt come home tog. my parents were mad at that. well, its over. lp concert is over, im sad to say this, but life is going to get back to normal. sigh.

Linkin Park Concert
Ok. Here's the deal. I can go for linkin park concert. My parents are ok with it, for the time being. I have the money for it but feeling mixed emotions now. Let's talk it out:

First, im going with my brother and his friend. Its going to be super awkward in the sense that I do not know my brother's friend or am I very close to my brother either. My brother's friend thinks im just another spoilt brat. How I know? I read what he wrote on my brother's testimonial on friendster. I don't give a damn about what my bro's friend's going to think. As of not being very close to my brother, isn't this a good time to bond? Maybe?

So I guess, the problem of not having anybody to go with is settled.

And I would never forgive myself if I missed this concert. Never.

All is well, and I'm about to booked the tickets when, "don't you have tuition on Tuesday?" my dad said.

SHIT.

He doesn't want me to go now, thanks to tuition. I'm not blaming anybody, I was the one that wanted to go for physics tuition and I had no regrets. But choosing between lp and tuition. Its pretty obvious which one I will choose right?

Today is father's day. I think father's day or mother's day for that matter, is too commercialise. But I don't exactly want to quarrel with my dad. Not today.

So shit, what am I going to do?

The Punisher
cleo and i caught this show on wednesday 'cause i won tickets. one advice: DONT WATCH!

really, this show is just about this guy going around killing people in different methods. its totally gory, disgusting and (dare i say?) pretty interesting. lol, i sound sadistic.

the only "human" part of the show is his relationship with his neighbours. which provides most of the laughs of the show. but really, this show is HORRIBLE. its my first nc-16 show though...

oh yeah, im still in the process of redoing my template. cant decide how it should look. but i guess it should go white, since im a little tired with black.. hmm, later then.

The Day After Tommorow
i just caught it with my dad yesterday. im glad i did cause this film is awesome. and im glad i made my dad watched it with me cause i knew he loves disaster flicks. and im glad he did=) be warned: spoilers ahead.

this show is basically, as i would like to put it, a geog film. due to the large amount of greenhouse gases from the burning of fossil fuels emitted, global warming is occuring. this leads to the melting of ice caps in the north pole cauing a rise in sea levels, drop in temperatures around the world. and basically mass destruction.

the film starts with 3 men doing some research work in the north pole. when suddenly, the ground starts to shake violently, and a huge crack appeared right in the middle. it might be just one crack, nothing big right? i was just thinking, if you are at the northpole, with ice all around, when suddenly the ice cracks. wouldnt that be creepy, cause you never know if the ice you are stepping is going to give away? there's no place to run too, cause all around you are ice. sort of like run out of "stepping space"

anyway, the story's main character, Jack Hall is a climatologist who spends too much time at work, neglecting his family especially his son - Sam. it all starts with jack warning the government [or was it the UN council?] about the dangerous effects of global warming.but as expected, the vice president didnt believe him a single bit.

at the same time, sam travels to new york for some competition with his two friends. he secretly likes Laura though she doesnt know [yet].

jack receives news from a professor who sort of monitors the sea currents and the temperature of it. the professor informed him that there's a drastic drop in the temperature of the sea. [13 degrees i think] at the same time, massive tornadoes starts attacking los angeles. [which is on the west coast, pacific ocean] jack tries to persuade the [bastard] vice president to take measures cause the worst is yet to come. but [as expected] the vice president doesnt do it until new york [on the east coast, atlantic ocean] gets hit. thats when jack is asked to explain and advice the whole situation to the president. the plan was to evacuate the whole of south america to mexico. [that reminds me, what is the latin american dept?] everyone else in the north-well, good luck.

so jack and his 2 other friends trek to new york to save sam who is stranded there. previously, the whole of new york was flooded. the weather was so cold that the water soon freeze and people could walk on it. following the advice of jack, sam stayed in the library. as jack advices, as the storm grew worse, the air is going to be so cold that it can freeze people immediatly. a few people decided to stay and these are the survivors. jack faced many difficulties as he trek [on ice cause everywhere is frozen] to new york. he loses his partner [which was really reall sad, but somehow reminds me of the show - Cold Mountain, i think]

of course, as most shows go, he successfully reaches new york, found his son, they hugged each other, he calls for help and the end. i've read reviewers complaining about the lack of character in this show. and im like, what lack of character? i thought the characters are pretty "life-like". ok fine, the supporting characters could have been elaborated more, but that isnt the point of a heavy budget film where most money go to create the cgi effects right? and please dont tell me you are watching day after tomorrow beacuse of the drama, cause, well, there isnt much.

what i like about this film is the effects. [of course, since they spent millions on it] the parts where they show the statue of liberty frozen, the part where jack and his friend [jason, i think] walks into new york, and they show the buildings all frozen. it was beautiful.. there's also one part which i particulary like. the massive tornadoes manages to destroy buildings, leaving only a hollow shell [well almost]. this man, opens the door, and finds the other half of the building gone. so its like, open door, and voila, nothing! the camera zooms out and you see the surrounding building in similar states. i thought it was rather well done.

you know after watching day after tommorow, i have this sudden thinking of being environmental friendly. so when i walked out of my room, i make sure my lights, com [monitor at least], radio and fan are all off to save electricity. dont you feel that way?

will another ice age actually happen? there have been disputes between scientists on the possibility of it happening. me? well, i do believe it will happen. 'cause, its already happening[with the rise in temperature, rise in sea levels, weird weather patterns around the world]. but i dont think i will live to the day to see it. but then maybe when the next ice age does happens, man kind will be prepared for it. who knows? at the same time, just try to be as environmental friendly as possible folks...

cOnFiRmAtIoN cAmP 2004
cc4. wow, its over. i still remember having this dread on going for church camp. 'cause last years camp was torture man. so feeling apprehensive, i stepped into church and see a group of people. found charlene (c2). the teachers collected the handphones and wallets of those who surrended it. i didnt. [naughty me] haha. anyway, was glad that my group had marian in it! at least i know somebody. we were a small group just 6 of us at first; marian, louis phua, leon, emmanuel, timothy n i. facils [y.f youth facilitators, i think] were alan and lynette. at first, my grp was super duper quiet lor. poor alan, he seemed kinda lost when we all didnt wanna speak up... but after lynette came and joined us, and the more sharings we have, we opened up more. so thats good:)

the first day was full of sharings and teachings... sat until my butt ached. i had diarrhoea too. its was horrible. so suay. our dinner was special. the facils made it into some banquet and we were told to dress our best. since my best was the clothes i reserved for mass, i wore that. dinner was "seven course" not exactly, but it was good. oh, this time, the food was quite good, i must say. anyway, we had dinner outdoors, under the night sky and the stars. took pictures, had ice-cream, exchanged "gifts". it was all fun. the cathecists [teachers] dressed up really nicely. melissa looked fabulous. [of course im biased, but she really was stunning] after that, it was praise and worship and francis [one of the cathecists] talking and it was snoozed time. and of course we didnt snoozed immediatly. stayed up late to chat. we all squeezed so diane could bunk with us. its was really great that we can all bunk tog again, just like our cc2'02. none of them wanted to share the bed with me, cause my bed is spoilt and it can collapsed anytime. was kinda freaked out when i sleep on it, but i did managed to survive. thank you god!

second day started with more teachings and yiss. afternoon reflection time in preparation for that nights praying over. michelle wu came during then too and joined our group. michelle [another one, the cathecist] did a presentation on the devil and the performance put up by martin, lynette and others were hilarious. esp, martin, being the devil was damn funny. i had gastric and the pain nearly killed me. though esther gave me medicine to take, it still hurt like mad. *sigh* i hate gastric!

we had confession and 4 priests from our parish came. i got a franciscan priest and he was really nice. his advice was something to lead the life the way i want to and not be affected by others. he also said that gossiping or putting down people is a way of assuring oneself. so when others gossip or say bad things about you, dont be affected, cause it just shows that THEY are the ones with the self-confidence problem, not you... dont you guys agree? after thinking, i find it quite true. he also gave me advice on this problem of forgiveness that i've been struggling for over a year. although i myself know the solution to it, its still really hard to carry it out. but after father said it, i felt much better and have confidence that i will be able to do it. *prays hard*

while waiting to go for confession cause there are 70+ of us, francis told this story about the irish boy which was kinda sad. maybe if i have the time i'll tell you the story, cause its really long. basically its about this irish boy who waited for 15 years for something.

night time was mass and praying over. father charles from st ignatius church [i think] came. he was from the jesuits and he told us this jesuit joke. it was hilarious. the mass was different in certain ways, it seemed relaxed but more serious. after the liturgy of the word, we had the praying over. i cried like mad after last years praying over. this year, i really wanna "get slain" though i know that it doesnt really matter. so i prayed really hard for the holy spirit, for god to send the holy spirit, to touch me, to speak to me. i also pray for god to heal my eczema, gastric and to better the relationship with my family. justin [NOT my brother] came over and prayed over me. while he was laying hands on me, i felt this warmth and pressure at my forehead; forcing itself down into my whole body, my palms and my feet also had a similar feeling.

god did send the holy spirit and i thank god for that. after the praying over, i felt totally at peace. during these few months, i was really bitter with stuff happening at home, my brother, my mom, my dad. stuff happening in school.

after the outpouring. we continued with mass. communion was a little different, we dipped the body of christ into wine. mmm, i love the wine. really wanted to drink up the whole chalice actually=) [diane later said it was some kind of cherry wine thats why it tasted sweet] when mass ended, we sang more songs. everyone was feeling really high, so it was fun. father charles told another jesuit joke. haha. then we had a little sharing before it was supper time! the whole gang were a little high esp c2. maybe cause we were all feeling so high. we made lynette play a game and she lost cause we werent exactly honest people. :p but in the end there wasnt enough time to do the forfeit. sigh. lights out was at 12 i think. but we didnt sleep until 1 plus. i rmb diane and i were singing peanut butter song and other action songs. 'cause we were making alot of noise, and our room was just beside the facils. we got "scolded" by paul. hmph.

well, its the end of the cc4. im glad i survived 4 years of cat. class. nah, actually, it isnt so bad. i enjoy cat class alot. i enjoy mel's n adeline's teachings. i enjoy the sharings we had [esp. lynette's jacuzzi moment] and the short skit we did during the second day during cc4 [esp. louis "powerful" spiritual leader] and im glad i got warm fuzzies [letters]. i hav one box of them now. i didnt really wanna go home, cause after our confirmation we arent gonna see each other so much anymore. really big thank you to marian, charlene [c1], charelene [c2], diane, mich. you guys made this journey so much more fulfiling. gonna miss you guys.

ok. im drained now. gonna sleep... i might change my blog. no idea yet. in the mean time, god bless and god nite!
